My dad called me to see if I could help him find a short story he'd read long ago called "Harry Belten and the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto." I Googled it (it's by Barry Targan), then found it in a collection on Amazon and had it shipped to him.
Total time: 10 minutes. Total amazement and appreciation from Dad two days later? Priceless.
I spend so much time online that I didn't even think about it. But for him, is was as if I'd pulled a rabbit out of my hat. To quote Rocket J. Squirrel: "Again?"
