A Body In Motion

I haven't yet spoken here about my dedication to Pilates, which has transformed me from a reasonably fit person blessed with genetically good proportions to a woman in the best shape of her life. At an age when most people are dressing to cover up the parts they don't like, I'm still buying bikinis, and wearing them to good effect.

The physical challenges are significant, the concentration the routines require exercises the mind as well as the body, and the results are undeniable. And there is always room for improvement.

I take two or three classes a week and the occasional private session at Re:AB in Nolita, and do some matwork every day I'm not there (in addition to runs in the park and other cardio at the gym, plus dance classes when I can).

Recommended for all (some of the most attractive men I know are also devotees), as is the book The Pilates Body by re:AB founder Brooke Siler.

It's why I get up so early, and why I can.
